Four Little Peas and a Hot Tub
We’re heading back into the studio next month to record the dialogue portion of the CD – after many, many scheduling emails with people in four cities and two countries. Cast is ready, our composer Ally has written the songs (brilliant!), we decided to keep the word “bivalve” in (even though/because half of us weren’t sure what it meant), the studio is booked, and I’ve bought my ticket from Portland, OR to LA.
In addition to the dialogue, we’re also re-recording Dottie’s solo song “Pockets Like Mine” because the first run through was too “reflective.” So we’re doing the dialogue + Dottie song re-do. And maybe another song – “Let’s Be Bats” – if we can get an answer whether the word “sonar” can be used. Seriously.
The company is just the four of us – “the Peas” – with our social media chica Desiree in Portland and our web master Andrea in New Zealand. And I’m wondering how we are going to get all of this done…

Dottie and cutie pie Indie on set
Currently, we are updating the web content with new rollovers for the kids, working with game Bob to build our first game for the site, getting merchandise out, writing/recording/producing our first CD, re-doing the opening title sequence for the DVD, making a music video – which needs several animated bits (including a dog wearing plaid and a fish eating corn, of course), marketing everything, communicating with awesome partners and film festivals around the world, and working our day jobs. Plus, to be stable I require hour-long baths, sometimes twice daily, depending on stress levels.
Ah, forget about it. I need a bath. . .
